2022 Les Printemps Rosé

Domaine Artefact’s Grenache Rosé offers pronounced aromatics of ripe strawberries, red plum, raspberries, Rainier cherries, orange marmalade, fresh earth, and dried herbs/sage. On the palate, it is dry, medium-bodied, and bursts with bright, ripe, and juicy berries such as strawberry, plums, pomegranate, watermelon with a hint of herbs and pink peppercorns. The finish is dominated by ripe red fruit balanced by cleansing acidity.

Palate: dry, medium body, medium acidity, bursting with bright ripe juicy berries -strawberry, plums, pomegranate, watermelon with a hint of herbs and pink peppercorns

Finish: medium to long with ripe red fruit, balanced acidity is cleansing, and fresh

 

Food Pairings: grilled seafood, seafood paella, tapas-charcuterie, grilled/herb roasted Chicken, roasted pork with chutney glaze, chicken couscous with apricots, egg dishes/quiche, Thai and Indian food, tarragon chicken salad “Rosé can be served with everything” – Julia Child

Cheese Pairings: avoid cheeses that are strong flavored that will overpower the delicate flavor of a rosé wine. Fresh cheeses such as Burrata, salty fresh cheeses such as Feta or Halloumi, aged Chèvre (i.e. Humboldt Fog), alpine cheeses like Comté, goat Gouda (i.e. Black Betty) or aged sheep’s milk cheese (i.e. Ossau-Iraty)
