This complex, deep ruby wine offers aromatics of mixed berry, blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, briar, sweet tea, dry cherry, pie crust, vanilla, cinnamon, sarsaparilla, leather, and mocha/chocolate. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, offers up bright acid, underripe cherries, raspberries, lava rock, sun dried tomato, pomegranate, and notes of Asian spices and sarsaparilla and a medium tannin level. The finish is very complex with mocha, hints of granite and dried cherries. 102 cases produced.
